How a brand talks and looks is the conduit to how your customers feel. Being recognisable and consistent generates trust.

Trust generates evangelism which means more customers. I have delivered several important brand voice projects including writing training and the importance of accessibility in how brands communicate.
Moorabool Shire Council

As part of my content strategist role at Moorabool Shire Council, I helped the organisation improve the consistency and quality of its communications.

The first part of this project was to align its brand voice through a voice and tone guide. This helped multiple content authors write with consistency and authenticity.
Website Content Migration

Working with CX and service teams, I reworked 275 pages of Council website content to address readability and accessibility issues.

I used Flench-Kincaid and Hemingway to track readability improvements. For accessibility, I worked with Monsido to improve performance against the WCAG 2.0 level AA standard.
Writing Training

I co-designed and delivered tailored workshops to Council teams to improve their web content and document writing.

By mixing theory with practical examples, I made the workshops engaging and immediately useful.

Among the many areas covered, we explored the psychology of content writing, we analysed how writing in plain language improves not only readability but also brand perception, and we learned how correct page structure aids accessibility and SEO.
