I view content marketing as a subset of traditional marketing. Creating content that offers value for your audience throughout the marketing funnel is a fascinating area. I have worked in all corners of the content ecosystem having held senior positions in media agencies, established the Melbourne office for a local content marketing agency, and having set up my content strategy and copywriting business.
Inception Digital

Content marketing was in its infancy when I took the role of business director to set up the local Melbourne office of Sydney-based Inception Digital in 2014. “Inception” had stolen the march in the content marketing space bringing together the cream of the crop publishers such as The Urban List and Mashable, influencers, content creators and media partners to deliver multi-platform digital campaigns for blue-chip clients.

Liaising mainly with media agencies, I secured and designed long term content marketing partnerships for brands including Nike, Infiniti cars, Mini, and Peroni.
Moorabool Shire Council

I led several projects while at Moorabool Shire Council, that each covered different aspects of the role that content plays for an audience. Most notably, I managed the migration of the Council’s digital content to a new CMS that included content governance, auditing, information architecture, journey mapping, copywriting and UX writing. I also improved the website’s readability from college level to grade 8 level and accessibility to WCAG 2.0 Level AA.
